I finally finished my Purl Girl. While this isn’t my first doll, it is my first hand sewn, felt doll. The last doll I made was a bunny rabbit in the early ’90s (remember those?) It is certainly my first hand sewn ANYTHING.
As with all handmade items, she is not perfect. I had a really hard time with her face. Lesson learned: sew the facial features before sewing on her hair.
I purchased some skin tone wool felt to make another doll. I think the next one will be better, but for now, she looks really cute on my St. Patrick’s Day wreath.

I pinned a green flower in her hair (seriously, I used a corsage pin) to be more festive. I think it works…
